Wayne Parnell announced his conversion to Islam from Christianity!!

Subhan Allah!! I am really glad to learn the news that of  an South African Fast bowler reverted to Islam, the Natural and the best religion. Alhamdulillah. May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala Give him strength, courage and perservance and help us to be a better muslim..... Ameen

South African fast bowler Wayne Parnell in a statement on Thursday announced his conversion to Islam from Christianity, Times of India reported on Friday.
He has also changed his named to Waleed after his conversion to Islam earlier in January this year.
Parnell confirmed in the statement that he has been studying about Islam and will celebrate his 22nd birthday as a Muslim on Friday.
Parnell said:
“While I have not yet decided on an Islamic name I have considered the name Waleed which means Newborn Son, but for now my name remains Wayne Dillon Parnell. I will continue to respect the team’s endorsement of alcoholic beverages. I am playing cricket in Sussex and this is my immediate focus.”
The South African cricket team manager, a Muslim by faith, Mohamed Moosajee said that Parnell’s Muslim teammates – Hashim Amla and Imran Tahir – did not influence his decision to convert from Christianity.
Moosajee said:
“Wayne already decided a few months ago to follow Islam. The decision to convert was his own decision, but I know nothing of the name change.”
Parnell’s fellow players, reportedly said they believed that he is very serious about the conversion and had not ‘touched a drop of alcohol’ ever since he converted to Islam.
He is the second Christian cricketer to have converted to Islam after Pakistan’s Yousuf Yohana (now Muhammad Yousuf) in 2006.

Daughters- A matter of Pride

Allah says in Quran in Surah Ash-Shurah, Chapter no. 42 and verse 49-50
To Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. He creates what He wills. He bestows female (offspring) upon whom He wills, and bestows male (offspring) upon whom He wills.
Or He bestows both males and females, and He renders barren whom He wills. Verily, He is the All-Knower and is Able to do all things.

Females and male offsprings, both are blessing from Allah, they should be treated equally. While its quite unfortunate that female offsprings are humiliated in some parts of the society.
Well, its pity that even in some families the female child is aborted as was the Practice in pre-islamic era.
Still if we look around in the world, in many countries like India, rate of abortion is going higher and higher. Stats reveal that most of them are sex-selective abortion, i.e. If Ultrasound reveals that the child is going to be a female, its aborted. While Islam abhors such an act and considers it a murder.

Islam being complete religion, stresses on every aspect of society and teaches us what to do and what not. As a matter of fact, Islam is the Only religion in which the rights of women are very much emphasized.
Lets have a look on Various hadiths of Our Holy Prophet Muhammad (may peace be upon him) on this aspect of life and society.

Narrated Aisha: A lady along with her two daughters came to me asking (for some alms), but she found nothing with me except one date which I gave to her and she divided it between her two daughterss, and did not eat anything herself, and then she got up and went away. Then the Prophet came in and I informed him about this story. He said, "Whoever is put to trial by these daughters and he treats them generously (with benevolence) then these daughters will  act as a shield for him from Hell-Fire." (See Hadith No. 24, Vol. 8).  (Sahih Bukhari Book no 24, Hadith no 499)

Malik reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: He, who brought up two girls properly till they grew up, he and I would come (together) (very closely) on the Day of Resurrection, and he interlaced his fingers (for explaining the point of nearness between him and that person).  (Sahih Muslim Book no.32, Hadith no. 6364)

The Hadith shows that daughters are source of blessings as their well brought-up can protect one from the Hell.
So, the need of the time is that we must pay concentration on What has ordained so as to avoid such heinous acts for which we will be surely answerable to Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala.  May Allah bless us all with hidayah and make us all folow islam in its true essence...ameen

Life- a Test

Every now and then we people complain about our lives, our status and our Health and so on so that we have a never-ending lists of complains. Such a situation or even every situation should be analysed according to Quran and Sunnah that why we are being created, should we complain to Allah or consider life as a test or what. The main purpose to write this post is to refresh and realise the purpose of our creation and act according to what Allah has told us in Quran.
So, lets have a glance below to learn what life actually is!!

First of All our purpose of creation as mentioned by The Holy Quran as follows,
[Quran Surah Adh Dhariyat 51:56] I have only created Jinns and men, that they may serve Me.

So the purpose of creation is very well told in this verse of Holy Quran.

[Quran Surah Al-Mulk 67:2] He Who created Death and Life, that He may try which of you is best in deed: and He is the Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving;-

So, its quite clear from the Ayah above that life is a test. which is mentioned in many of the Ayahs below,

[Quran Surah Al-Baqarah 2:155] Be sure we shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil), but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere,

[Quran Surah Al-Baqarah 2:156] Who say, when afflicted with calamity: "To Allah (God) We belong, and to Him is our return":-

[Quran Surah Al-Baqarah 2:157] They are those on whom (Descend) blessings from Allah (God), and Mercy, and they are the ones that receive guidance.

Allah test His creations in many ways and only those will be successful who are steadfast and believe on Allah alone. Allah test His believers by atrocities and affilictions and we should not assume them as the punishment from Allah and signs that Allah is displeased with us or doesn't like us etc etc. Likewise, we should never construe the success and pleasures that others enjoy as signs that Allah is pleased with them or that they are privileged. Allah has given us the will to do good or bad and this is the way Allah test us that we opt to do good or bad.

Allah expressed in the following ayat that everything in our lives – the good and the bad of it– is a trial for us. How will we cope in the situation that Allah has placed for us? Will we be grateful in prosperity and patient in affliction or will we be arrogant and disobedient?

[Quran Surah Al-Anbiya 21:35] Every soul shall have a taste of death: and We test you by evil and by good by way of trial. to Us must ye return.

[Quran Surah Al-Fajr 89:15] Now, as for man, when his Lord trieth him, giving him honour and gifts, then saith he, (puffed up), "My Lord hath honoured me."

[Quran Surah Al-Fajr 89:16] But when He trieth him, restricting his subsistence for him, then saith he (in despair), "My Lord hath humiliated me!"

[Quran Surah Al-Anbiya 21:23] He cannot be questioned for His acts, but they will be questioned (for theirs).

As expressed in Ayat below,
[Quran  Surah Al-Nahl 16:9] And unto Allah (God) leads straight the Way, but there are ways that turn aside: if Allah (God) had willed, He could have guided all of you.

Allah has power over all universe, He can make everyone pious and good but then it will not be a test and justice. Justice is that one will be given free will to opt between good and bad and then what that person decides he is destined to get reward or punishment. Like suppose we know that Allah will give us "rizq" but the source of that, we have to choose- whether we are going to have Halal or get it Haram way. One should realise that Allah doesnt need us rather we need His help, blessings and mercy.

[Quran Surah Fatir 35:15] O ye men! It is ye that have need of Allah (God): but Allah (God) is the One Free of all wants, worthy of all praise.

We can never doubt on the power of Allah as He has the power over all universe and He can do want He want to. We can't blame Him as He loves us seventy times more than ur mother do!!
